How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Adventurous, compassionate and outgoing
What is your favorite outdoor activity and why?
I have so many that it’s hard to pick a favorite! But, I love hiking; I love the feeling of reaching a mountain summit. There is something so humbling about seeing nature from that perspective.
What is your favorite piece of gear?
My favorite piece of gear is probably The North Face Venture Jacket. It is something that I use all year round and it is so versatile.
Where did you work before Denali?
Before Denali I worked at the barn that I ride at as a camp counselor. I taught kids horsemanship skills and I helped them learn how to ride. I also worked as a teacher’s assistant at The Write Stuff, which is a reading and writing skill building program to prepare kids for the CMT.
What do you do in your free time?
I’m a full-time student so in my free time I generally do school work. When I’m not doing school work though I try to do something active whether that is going to the gym, snowboarding in the winter, or going on a hike in the warmer weather.
What is one goal you would like to accomplish?
Right now I am going to school for psychology and political science. One goal that I would really love to accomplish is to get into law school and become a civil rights lawyer.
What is your dream vacation?
I have always wanted to go to Ireland. I would love to see all of the castles and sacred places that are there. It just seems like a beautiful and mysterious place.
What are some of your guilty pleasures?
Netflix is definitely my guilty pleasure. I love Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, One Tree Hill, and The 100.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is of going to New Hampshire with my parents. We would stay in a cabin that belonged to my grandparents and it was right on a beautiful pond with a big mountain in the background.
