These are the GoPro cameras you have been waiting for. They are waterproof down to 33 feet without a housing, have video stabilization, and can be voice controlled. We got a sneak peek of the HERO5 Black and HERO5 Session and were blown away by how easy the voice commands work for both cameras. You’ll be able to take your selfie game to a whole new level. Not just that but you can have your GoPro mounted somewhere, say your bike handle bar, and just be able to say, “GoPro take a photo!” and bam, photo taken and your hands remain safely on the bars. The Session5 also takes higher resolution photos and videos compared to its predecessor and has my favorite mode, video + picture. This mode takes pictures every 5 seconds while you are also shooting video. Since the HERO5 Black doesn’t have a casing on it you can use the touchscreen on the back in wet conditions without worrying about ruining your camera.
For those of you who already have a GoPro Camera the folks at GoPro have made some awesome updates to both their phone App and desktop editing studio. It’s never been so easy to update my HERO4 Silver. I opened the new App on my phone, connected the camera, and new software updates were delivered wirelessly with ease. If you already have the GoPro App on your phone you just need to upgrade to Capture. While you are at it you will probably want to also download Quik for your phone so that you can do editing on the fly. If editing on your desktop or laptop is more of your thing be sure to download the new Quick | Destop for a more advanced GoPro Studio experience.
