Product Spotlight: Vasque Breeze 2.0
Product: Vasque Breeze 2.0 GTX Boot
Best uses for this product: Hiking
Back in 2004 Vasque led the way in changing how lightweight hiking boots were made. It was the first time that running shoe technology was used for a true hiking boot. Fast forward to today and Vasque has upped its game with the new and improved Breeze 2.0.
While you will notice some cosmetic changes, the big difference is in the mesh. Vasque has improved their mesh to be tougher and more durable. For those of us that are constantly hiking around sharp granite this is a welcomed improvement. After 85,000 testing cycles the new mesh on the Breeze 2.0 is still intact while the old mesh has started to fray and come apart. The improved mesh also helps to reduce the weight for the boot.
The Breeze 2.0 comes with a Gore-Tex liner just as it did before. While it has this waterproof technology built in it is still good to treat your boots with Nikwax. Applying the Nikwax will help to protect the Nubuck Leather. Another great aspect that Vasque carried over to the 2.0 is the Vibram Contact Sole. The unidirectional lugs give you excellent traction and stability. Happy hiking!
